Description
Further trial excavations took place at the site in 2007 to further evaluate the extent and preservation of the remaining archaeological deposits in the cave passages (Trench 17), while excavations at the surface focused on the ancillary structures and complex deposits identified at the surface around the cave and stairwell entrance. In addition, two trial trenches were excavated targeting geophysical anomalies identified during survey in 2006. <1>
