Invergarry Community Timeline

ARCH Community Timeline courses provide an overview of local heritage, and then allow participants to research a site, building, feature, find, placename traditions or any other aspect of their local heritage which is of interest. In many cases, this results in new information, photographs or updated references for the HER. In addition, each course produces a local display and a binder with extra information.

The project resulted in seven new records for the HER. These included several finds in the West Highland Museum which were previously unrecorded. Although these are not precisely located the information is still valuable for connecting places to finds in museums:

Other valuable new information includes copies of the original architect's plans for the icehouse at Invergarry and further information about a mysterious structure at South Laggan, known as Toman na Croiche.
