Full Description

The line of a possible pre-crofting head dyke was noted near Badfearn, Gairloch, during a walkover survey by C Dagg in 2008 prior to an OHL replacement scheme between Aultbea and Dundonnell. It was cross ed by the line of the new OHL route and would possibly be subject to damage. <1>

It should be noted that the feature as shown on the survey plan in the the EIA report does not conform to what can be seen on aerial photographs and is poorly located. The line of the dyke which on the survey plan runs southeastwards cannot be seen on the APs [IS-L 08/08/2013].
