Full Description

A shieling hut was noted by WCAS in a 2012 DBA and walkover survey in advance of a woodland creation scheme. Located 5m southwest of the burn was a well-preserved stone or turf shieling under dense bracken, heather and grass. It measured 4.2m across over walls spread to 1.4m and standing to 0.8m high. There was a 0.7m-wide entrance in the southwest wall. <1>
