Full Description

Two stone clearance cairns (site 12) were surveyed by West Coast Archaeological Services in March 2013 during a walkover survey in advance of a proposed woodland creation scheme. These features were found in survey area 2. The clearance cairns were located on sloping ground with south aspect. The southwest cairn measured 4m by 3m and was 0.4m in height. The northeast cairn was 3.5m by 2m and was up to 0.3m in height. Both cairns were in a very degraded condition at the time of surveying. <1>
