180430 872311 Glac Shieldag 2 AMC134: The hut circle was visited by A MacInnes in 2010 as part of research for a dissertation on hut circles in Wester Ross for A Welti. The circular stone structure is situated on a natural terrace on an East facing slope below small crags to N and SW. There are panoramic inland views from the site. The bank is built up from the terrace outside and all round the hut circle. The circle has very good inner and outer edges although these are covered with heather. Some outer facing stones are visible. Average inner diameter is 6.15m, outer diameter is 8.35m. The double skinned wall is 1m wide with maximum height 0.3m. The probable entrance faces NE and has external width 1m, internal width 0.8m, and passage length 1m. Field boundary walls run down slope 20m to NW & 10m to SE of hut circle. This structure may be associated with AMC128 (see MHG6334) 200m distant , and AMC129 (see MHG8385) also 200m distant. <2> <3>
