Carn a'Bhodaich, a turf-covered mound c.8m in diameter and 0.8m high, with a content of rounded beach stones visible in two small mutilations. Possibly a cairn, but could be a beacon stance. Not Roman.
Re-surveyed at 1/2500. Visited by OS (J B) 21 September 1977.
This mound is as described above. The association of its name with the nearby ruined mound of Carn na Cailliche (NH98NW 15 ) (the names presumably meaning 'Cairn of the old man' and 'Cairn of the old Woman) points to the probability of a recent date, and possible uses as beacon stances or landmarks.
