Dear Isabel
Many thanks for this. Yes this is as expected – a building survey was conducted in August 2010 by Cathy Dagg. See http://her.highland.gov.uk/SingleResult.aspx?uid=EHG3356 . There’s also a report to go with the photos that should be online but I see it isn’t – I’ll put that up.
I do hope the new BAR website will continue to include links to the Highland HER alongside the RCAHMS information? This building is a good example of where our records can add a great deal of value.
Best wishes
Sylvina

Subject: Kilpering
Kiln, Shore Street, Thurso
Morning,
A member of the public has advised
that the Kippering Kiln has now been demolished. I'm assuming that this is
correct as there was an application made, but if not would you advise as I've
recorded the building as demolished and moved it off the Risk Register.
As an aside, we are working on the migration to our new website,
integrating BAR data with RCAHMS data. We'll advise when this is going
live.
Kind regards,
Isabel
