EHG169 - DBA and walkover survey - Badnaban Common Grazings

Technique(s)

Organisation

Wordsworth Archaeological Services

Date

18 February 2000

Description

A rapid archaeological survey of a proposed WGS application was conducted at Badnaban Common Grazings, Inverkirkaig. This survey was requested by Highland Council Archaeology Service because only limited archaeological survey had been carried out in this area and it was considered that a more extensive survey should be carried out to inform planting decisions for the proposed WGS. Prior to visiting the site, a desk-bound search of available documentary sources was carried out. This was followed by a rapid walk-over survey carried out on the 18th February 2001. The weather conditions were dry but cold and blustery. <1>
