Description

Trial trenching took place over 5% of the area of a proposed waste water treatment works at Belleport between Alness and Invergordon in Easter Ross. Nine trenches were excavated covering 165 square metres. The trenches produced probable evidence for pre-cultivation tree cover but apart from 19th-20th century land drains, no archaeological features were uncovered. <1>
