Description

Eight trenches were mechanically excavated under the supervision of S Farrell in 1999 at Keiss Links to evaluate the area in advance of a proposed woodland scheme, the area lying near to a number of known archaeological sites. No archaeological features or deposits were exposed. Overall, about a third of the site was heavily waterlogged or had a very high water table which made for difficulties in excavating sizable trenches.
