Description

A programme of archaeological trial trenching was undertaken by Headland Archaeology in 2016 in order to support a planning application for the construction of residential housing at Holm Mills Road, Inverness. The trial trenching comprised 135 trenches totalling 11,951m². No archaeological remains were identified across the majority of the site with the exception of one undated ditch, interpreted as being part of a possible pre-existing agricultural enclosure, located at the south of the site. <1>
