EHG5017 - Trial Trenching - Alness Business Part, Plot 1

This report details the findings of the first phase of the archaeological evaluation carried out at Teaninich Avenue, Alness in advance of the construction of Alness Business Park. The evaluation was required in order to inform developers of the potential archaeology that could be found during later phases of the development. This phase of fieldwork covered the area of Plot 1 only and further evaluation on the rest of site is planned to take place later in 2017. Fieldwork was carried out on 15th -16th February 2017 and seven features were identified, all of which were field drains or the possible remains of a field boundary. <1>
