Description
An archaeological walkover survey was undertaken at the site of a new telecoms mast and access track north of Mudale Farmhouse, Altnaharra by AOC Archaeology in 2017. The survey was required due to the location of the development site within an area of prehistoric and post-medieval settlement and field systems. A total of 12 archaeological sites was recorded, including a hut circle, sheepfold, clearance cairns, structures and dykes. It was recommended the proposed track be routed to avoid the archaeological sites. <1>
