EHG5435 - Walkover survey - Beauly-Mossford OHL replacement

Highland Archaeology Services Ltd, acting on behalf of Scottish Hydro Electric Transmission plc (SHE Transmission) commissioned Archaeology North Ltd in 2013 to undertake an archaeological walkover survey of seven areas along the route of the replacement of the overhead line as part of a provision to re-survey areas which had been inaccessible during an earlier survey due to vegetation cover (see EHG3750). An assessment was made of the impact of the proposed works on heritage assets identified along the route, and recommendations to mitigate that impact were mainly micro-siting (with a more detailed survey) or an archaeological watching brief. <1>
