Technique(s)

Organisation

AOC Archaeology Group

Date

May 2019

Description

An archaeological evaluation was carried out by AOC Archaeology Group in 2019 on land adjacent to Inverness Gaelic Primary School, in advance of the construction of a new nursery building with associated infrastructure and landscaping. Eight trenches were excavated across the proposed development site, sampling an area totalling 650m² (8.5% of the 7,604m² development area). Large areas of disturbance recorded in several trenches were likely to be associated with nearby development works. No archaeological finds or features were recorded, no further work was recommended. <1>
