Description

An archaeological evaluation was carried out by AOC Archaeology Group in 2018 at Whitehills, Alness, in advance of the construction of 68 houses and installation of drainage infrastructure. The evaluation was required due to the presence of known archaeological sites within the immediate area. Sixteen trenches were excavated across the accessible southern portion of the development site, sampling an area totalling 1,286m² of the total 28,000m². No significant archaeological remains were uncovered. No further archaeological works were recommended. <1>
