Full Description

Cairns (NR) OS 6" map, (1960)

Fifty feet W of the hut circle (robbed cairn NH79NE 12) is the site of another of oval form. In the vicinity are a few small mounds.
RCAHMS 1911, visited 1909.

Centred at NH 766 966, on the SE slopes of Cnoc Odhar, is a field system defined by stone clearance heaps (cairns on OS 6"map, 1960) lynchets, and an occasional field wall forming fields varying in size from about 40m by 20m to 20m by 10m. It is partially overlaid by modern cultivation.
Within the field system, at NH 7669 9678, is a roughly circular platform, c. 10.0m in diameter, with a stony build up around its lower SE arc. Its N side is mutilated by a water-worn path. This is probably the structure referred to by RCAHMS and is possibly the remains of a hut but is too ill-defined for positive classification.
Visited by OS (R L) 17 November 1969.

Though reduced and mutilated, would appear on balance that circular platform noted by previous OS investigator is hut circle.
Visited by OS (N K B) 11 June 1981.
