Full Description

Hut Circle (NR)
OS 1:10,000 map, (1973)

On a wooded flat-topped ridge are the ill-defined remains of a stone walled hut, mentioned by RCAHMS (1911). There are one or two clearance heaps in the vicinity, one being "a mound 22ft by 12ft" described by the RCAHMS.
RCAHMS 1911, visited 1909; Visited by OS (N K B) 24 October 1969.

A hut circle accompanied by several heaps of field clearance. The hut, levelled back into a slight slope, measures 12.0m by 10.0m internally; an entrance position is in the south-east on the line of the long axis. The hut wall is obscure in the north-west half; elsewhere it is evident as a turf-covered rubble spread 2.0 to 2.5m broad and up to 0.5m high.
Revised at 1:2500.
Visited by OS (J M) 18 September 1980.
