(Bracadale; Duirinish; Snizort parishes)
NG 3550 4450 (centre) A desk-based assessment and rapid walkover survey were carried out over the area (8km2) of a proposed windfarm at Edinbane. The assessment revealed four previously recorded sites. The walkover survey produced a further 16 archaeological sites. The majority of the new sites were groups of shielings, but a well-preserved hut circle and a 4-poster stone circle were also located, the latter being a type of site not previously recorded on Skye.
