The original WW II control tower is situated immediately to the NW of the two remaining 'C' type aircraft hangars. The tower is built of wood and has been internally and externally modified since the end of the war.
Externally the tower has few modifications apart from new window frames.
Internally, though the organistion of the rooms has changed little the uses to which they are now put has as many of them are used as offices.
The tower has recently been painted white.
