What may be a building reduced to little more than a rectangular platform is situated on the left (E) bank of the Burn of East Clyth, about 80m NNW of the farmstead ND24SE 81. The platform measures 7.1m from NNW to ESE by 4.5m transversely and is up to 1m in height on the W, on the burn side, where the platform is retained by a drystone wall. On the E the top of the platform is level with the adjacent field, but its edge is marked by a grass-grown spread of stones. No building is depicted here on either the 1st or the 2nd edition of the OS 6-inch map (Caithness 1877, sheet xxxiv; 1907, sheet xxxiv).
