Thurso, 24th Aug. `The JOHN & JAMES, Scott, from Shields: and the HUDSON, Donaldson, from Dundee, both bound to Quebec, were driven on shore last night in the Pentland Frith [Firth], during a severe gale: crew saved. The former is totally wrecked: the latter may be got off if the weather moderates.'
