A series of watching briefs were undertaken between November 2003 and May 2004 for new water mains close to a number of archaeological sites, following a desk-based assessment (DES 2003, 92). At Newhall Point, partial human remains were found to the N of the chapel site (NH76NW 2) but were reburied in situ. No other features of archaeological interest were noted.
