(Classified as wooden schooner, in ballast: date of loss cited as 25 May 1857). Blue Bonnet: this vessel stranded at the SE corner of Stroma. Capt. Grandison.
Registration: Leith. Built 1856. 121grt. Length: 27m. Beam: 6m.
(Location of loss cited as N58 40.25 W3 6.0).
I G Whittaker 1998.

The classification and location of loss cited by Whittaker remain unverified. The report dated 23 July 1857 presumably refers to the same vessel, although a specific cargo is cited.
The location assigned to this record is essentially arbitrary.
