A possible hut circle visible as a double walled structure, measuring 7m in internal diameter, with the entrance facing SE, lies close to the Naast to Gairloch path. Probable stone walled shieling huts lie close by. Information by email from Terry Doe, 10 October 2005. <1>

180973 880902 Loch Bad A' Chreamh 1 HAB001: The hut circle was visited by A MacInnes in 2010 as part of research for a dissertation on hut circles in Wester Ross for A Welti. The circular stone structure is dug into a gentle south facing slope under a crag and beside a burn. Surrounded by grassland. Average internal diameter is 6.45m, external diameter is 8.95m. The double skinned wall is 1.4m thick with maximum height 0.5m. The clearly defined entrance faces southeast, with external width 1.5m, internal width 1.0m and passage length 1.3m. There is a large boulder at the S edge of entrance. The vegetation inside the HC has much bracken, none outside. A sheiling pen is built into the W wall. There is a large boulder at the S edge of entrance. This hut circle seems to be associated with a cluster of 8 structures in all, HAB002 (see MHG49721), HAB003 (see MHG49722), HAB004 (see MHG49723), HAB005 (see MHG49720), HAB006 (see MHG49719), HAB007 (see MHG49705) and HAB008 (see MHG49706). These are all sited near to an ancient trackway from Naast to Sand River and Gairloch. <2> <3>
