Full Description

Cairnfield measuring 60 m N/S x 30 m in overall extent.

a) At NC 3798 6723, an oval cairn at base of natural slope, measuring 4 m SE/NW x 3.7 m x 0.2 m high.

b)-e) An alignment of 4 cairns on terrace above lochside, from NC 3802 6726 to NC 3803 6729, c 30 m to N of (a). Cairns are 5 - 8 m apart and range in size from 2 x 1.5 m to 4.6 x 2.8 m across and up to 0.7 m high.

(b), (c), & (d) are particularly well-defined. All are turfed over and under sparse bracken, with subangular stones visible in fabric
On level, bracken and turf-covered terrace above Loch Borralie, SE-facing over loch.
Clearance cairns probably indicating cultivation on slopes above (to W).
Recommendations: Control bracken. <1><2>
