Full Description

A stone-built covered drain was exposed during trial trenching at the end of 2011. The drain was aligned roughly south west to north east. The drain was cleaned for inspection but was not excavated as it was still functional. The measured c.0.7m wide with stone sides and large well-fitting capstones. The depth from the top of the orthostats to the base of the drain was 0.2m. <1>
