Full Description

Ard (Achatatoil)

These sites were recorded by NOSAS in 2008/9 as part of an archaeological survey of outer Loch Hourn.

Site 1430. A roughly circular, green grassy mound, with a flat top and stone protruding through the turf. The mound measures 13m x 10m N-S. It lies on a flat-topped knoll, amidst bracken covered slopes and seems to represent a shieling site. <1>
