Full Description

Two rectangular buildings were recorded during an NTS pre-afforestation survey of Kintail and West Affric in 1997. They were sited on either side of an un-named burn. One was c.10m long by c.3.5m wide, over walls c.0.7m wide, c.0.4m high and was aligned SW/NE. The other was smaller, c.5m long by c.3m wide, over walls c0.8m wide, up to 1.6m high and was aligned W/E.
These buildings are said to have been demolished c.30 years ago. They were almost hidden amongst trees and shrubs. A corrugated iron structure - used for sheep clipping, etc, was sited some distance NE of these two buildings, but was of 20th century date.
This farm was marked on the 1st and 2nd ed OS maps, when both buildings were roofed. <1>
