Full Description

A possible hut circle at Cnoc Na H-Iolaire, Lochbroom.

217777 888916 PN003 Ardcharnich 3 Cnoc na H-Ighine: The possible hut circle was visited by P Newling in 2010 as part of research for a dissertation on hut circles in Wester Ross for A Welti. This was part of a degree course overseen by Aberdeen University. It is in poor condition. It is located on the slope some 300m to the SE of PN001 (see MHG7844) and a little above. The site was revisited in 2019 by A Welti, S Mackenzie and I Brandt. The platform seems revetted into the slope and a large slab, possibly an inner facing stone, is visible. <1> <2>
