Full Description

A cast copper alloy annular brooch of medieval type; the brooch is intact and still has the pin although there is a break at the pin rebate. This example has been decorated with a punched bar every 90° with the space in between filled with rows of engraved parallel lines. This style of decoration can be paralleled on a number of brooches which have been found in the greater Inverness area.
Claimed as Treasure Trove case TT.151/09 and allocated to Inverness Museum.
