Full Description

P.M. 26/07/96.

A track noted by J Wood during a 1995 DBA in advance of a woodland creation scheme. Crossing though Rynuie, there was a track from the 18th or 19th century according to the 1858 Seafield map. <1>

A track noted by C Dagg during a 2007 walkover survey in advance of a woodland creation scheme. This is the main cart track that ran northwest to southeast, directly through the building group of Rynuie. It was a clear feature as it ascended the ridge to the southeast of the buildings, and entered the settlement through the high point of the drystone dyke. It was less distinct as it dropped down the north side of the ridge and was obscured by heather on the low ground, then again became distinct as it rises to the northwest. <2>
