Full Description

A photograph of this building was submitted to the HER by Keith Hart in February 2011. The photograph shows the building to be of considerable age, with raised gables, a steeply pitched slate roof (formerly thatched), catslide dormers and 16 pane sashes. It appears to be the surviving remnant of a larger building, the northern gable end having been rebuilt at some time. <1>

The building is positioned at the rear of one of the plots fronting the medieval High Street. <2>

This building is described by Oram et al as being possibly 16th or 17th-century in date, with the apparent remnant of a gallery with a crowstepped gable. <3>
