EHG227 - DBA and walkover survey - proposed mixed development scheme, Milton of Leys

Technique(s)

Organisation

Glasgow University (GUARD)

Date

Nov 1998 - Mar 1999

Description

An archaeological desk-based assessment and walkover survey was carried out by GUARD in 1998 prior to planning consent for a housing development at Milton of Leys, Inverness. Subsequent fieldwork included a geophysical survey (see EHG5741) and trial trenching (see EHG5742) and a total station theodolite survey. The results of the DBA and walkover suggest that there are archaeological remains present within the development area. <1>
