Description

A watching brief and detailed survey (using a GPS) was undertaken of known archaeological sites during groundbreaking works associated with the renewal of the water treatment works pipeline within the township of Achachork, north of Portree. During the GPS survey a number of previously unknown sites were noted and recorded. Five additional field banks were noted during topsoil stripping. <1>
