Description
Trial trenching was carried out by RoCAS and Applecross Archaeology Society in May 2012 to further explore the archaeological significance of the land surrounding the Applecross Broch. Three trenches were excavated in an area that showed high resistance during a geophysical survey in 2005. However, the results from the trenches suggested that this area was probably created by natural, geological processes. <1>
