EHG6370 - Trila trenching - proposed holiday units, Three Chimneys

Technique(s)

Organisation

Highland and Island Land Services

Date

Nov 2024

Description

An archaeological trial trenching evaluation was undertaken by Highland Archaeology Services in 2024 in advance of the proposed development of new self-contained holiday units, additional hotel accommodation and the modernisation of existing services associated with the Three Chimneys restaurant and accommodation complex at Colbost, Skye. Three trenches were mechanically excavtaed. During the evaluation no buried archaeology remains were encountered, it was considered unlikely that there would be any further archaeologically significant features within the site boundary. <1>
