EHG6494 - Watching brief - new house plot, Spital Shore

A watching brief was undertaken by Highland Archaeology Services in 2023 in advance of the development of a new house and driveway at 2 Spital Shore, Muir of Ord. The footprint of both the house and drive were opened. Along the northern side of the house plot area was the low footings of a turf covered dyke. A section was taken with the machine which demonstrated that the remains of the dyke consisted of a mixture of turf with occasional large and small rounded stones. Otherwse, no significant Archaeological features were found and there were no further recommendations. <1>
