Description
An archaeological trial trench evaluation was undertaken by Clyde Archaeology in 2025 in advance of the proposed construction of a house north-west of Sour Cottage, Halkirk, Caithness. Six trenches were excavated which totalled 324m², approximately 10% of the development area. No archaeological remains were uncovered during the trial trenching. <1>
