Description
The walk-over survey was designed to establish, and record, the nature and extent of the visible archaeology. The area within the compound was then trial trenched to establish the extent of the buried archaeology. In addition the cairns (NM4832 8385), the Dun (NM 4844 8380), the current pier (NM 4846 8380) and a boulder jetty to the south side of the bay (NM 4841 8386) were photographically recorded. <1>
