Full Description
NH68SE 37 661 833
An enclosure is depicted on the 1st edition of the OS 6-inch map (Ross-shire 1881, sheet xl). It is also shown on the current edition of the OS 1:10000 map (1992) with another incomplete enclosure attached to its W side.
Information from RCAHMS (SAH) 21 March 1996
This enclosure, which lies on a gentle W-facing slope, was recorded during a pre-afforestation survey at The Struie by J Wordsworth. It measures 200m by 70m and there is a subsiduary enclosure, measuring 50m by 30m on the SW. Quarrying, presumeably for road metalling, has severely disturbed the interior of the larger enclosure.
