A township, comprising two unroofed buildings is depicted on the 1st edition of the OS 6-inch map (Inverness-shire 1872, sheet cii). One partially roofed T-shaped building, seven unroofed buildings and one enclosure are shown on the current edition of the OS 1:10000 map (1994).

This site was visted during a walkover survey carried out by RoCAS in 2013 in advance of a woodland creation scheme. Each structure was recorded and described. Various degraded or ruinous structures were recorded. These included houses, byres, walls, pens, enclosures, and dykes all of varying sizes, in addition to one well-preserved stalkers hut.
