Full Description
ND13SE 112 1554 3490
This small hut is situated on a terrace some 50m E and above the public road immediately S of a deeply cut burn channel and just N of a modern fence line. Measuring 8.3m in diameter over a bank about 2.5m in thickness and 0.2m in height. The interior is slightly dished and it is possible that this is a small hut-circle similar in size to that discovered to the S (ND13SE 115).
Visited by RCAHMS (DE, IP) August 1997
These two NMRS records appear to be duplicates of each other.
Jhooper, 17/9/2002
It is not apparent on what basis J Hooper made the comment about this site record being a duplicate of another. However, this site is not readily apparent on any vertical aerial photographs until those taken in 2023 when a circular feature of around the right size is just about visible. There is also no modern fence line visible (as mentioned by RCAHMS) either. <1>
