Full Description
The quarry site is now occupied by a sewage plant, but on the shore to the west of the Cromarty Bridge are remains of what may have been some kind of ship dock. <1>
Information from participant in the Black Isle Heritage Memories project. Stone from the quarry was used to build dykes in Holland. Returning vessels brought soil as ballast. Reopened to provide approach to Cromarty Bridge. <2>
