A stone commemorating the Fort George Airfield was unveiled in 2017.

The stone reads:

A archaeological watching brief was carried out in July 2017 by CFA Archaeology Ltd to monitor the installation of the memorial stone. The memorial stone measured approximately 1.20m high and was to be laid on concrete foundations, with the foundation trench measuring approximately 0.80m x 0.80m and approximately 0.4m deep. No features, deposits or artefacts of archaeological significance were identified. <1>
