Full Description

This panel was recorded as part of the ScRAP (Scotland’s Rock Art project) by members of NoSAS in November 2019. The panel lies in a large undulating field of rough grazing on the west facing slope of Knockfarrel. The field overlooks the confluence of the Black Water and the River Conon about 1.5km to the south and west. The Strathconon hills are visible to the south. The field has areas of gorse but is mainly grass. To the north is an access track leading to the farm up the hill and to the east, with a garden fence about 23m to the north and a telegraph pole about 8m to the east.

The panel appears to be a small schist outcrop measuring 1.10m north-south by 1m and 0.3m above the surrounding grass. There are 12 cupmarks, mainly on the south end of the stone with one cluster possibly making an irregular rosette. <1>
