Full Description
A multi-cell shieling hut at Glen Ose (Glen Ullinish), Skye. It was recorded during a walkover survey by Archaeological and Ancient Landscape Survey in 2001 in advance of the proposed Edinbane Wind Farm development.
Site M: Lying on the north side of a small burn, amongst grass and rushes, is a well preserved multi-cell turf shieling. The larger cell measures 5m in overall diameter, the two smaller cells, which are attached to the west side of the larger cell, measure 3m in overall diameter. The entrance lies in the east side of the larger cell. <1> <2>
