Full Description
A group of Shieling huts at Glen Ose (Glen Ullinish), Skye. They were recorded during a walkover survey by Archaeological and Ancient Landscape Survey in 2001 in advance of the proposed Edinbane Wind Farm development.
Site N: Lying around an ‘S’ shaped bend of the Allt Ruairidh, close to a small island in the centre of the channel, are the remains of 4 single cell and 2 double cell turf shielings. One of the double celled examples has a well preserved rectangular, stone lined, satellite cell attached to its north side. All are in poor condition and difficult to see. <1>
