Full Description

NC 7677 0109 An oval hut measuring 12m N-S by 11.5m between wall centres. The entrance is in the S.
Contemporary cultivation is indicated by one or two stone clearance heaps nearby.
Surveyed at 1:10,000. Visited by OS (J M) 17 July 1975.

A DBA and walkover survey was carried out by Wordsworth Archaeological Services in 1997 advance of a proposed woodland grant scheme at Morvich, Sutherland.

2/7: An area of clearance cairns extends almost from Site 7/1 towards the Abercross Burn. The cairns are irregularly distributed but no clear field system could be observed. The track forms the boundary between this and Site 7/6. <1>
